Maria Reisch Maria Reisch started studying Ballet with Nico Charrise. She then studied with David Lichine and his wife Tatania Riabouchinska.

Maria attended UCLA where she received a BA and MA in Dance. Besides Ballet, she also specialized in various ethnic dance cultures including the Balkans, Mexican Folklórico, Israeli, Eastern European, and Scottish dance.

Maria has her own performing group, Los Rancheros. Maria did dance notes for several instructors, including Alexandru David and Mihai David. She has been on the Committees for the San Diego State University Folk Dance Conference and the Santa Barbara Folk Dance Conference with Linda Ortiz as her partner.

At Los Angeles City College, Maria has taught Modern Dance, Ballet, Choreography, Folk Dance, and Folklorico. She has served the Woman's Physical Educational department twice as Department Chair. Maria is currently the Vice President of the Academic Senate and Curriculum Chair and is in charge of the Dance Demonstrations presented every semester.

Maria has taught at various venues in Southern California, including Cafe Danssa, Camp Hess Kramer, and several Folk Dance Federation of California, South, Inc. institutes.

Dances Maria has taught include Barajače, Bre Devojče-Pod Ona, Çayda çira, Gilanka, Jambolsko pajduško No. 2, Leši, Neda voda nalivala, Pletenica, Šira, Skopsko Cigansko, Stipsko oro, Tropanka, and Zaplanjski čačak.
