Larry Lynch

Larry Lynch was born in San Francisco of Irish parents. He began dancing in his home as a child with his grandfather, a sean nos dancer, fiddler, and native Irish speaker.
Larry is a former United States Champion Irish step dancer. Each year he leads a tour to Ireland for dancers to learn and dance sets with the locals.
Larry teaches weekly classes in Fort Mason, California, and has taught at various festivals and workshops throughout Ireland, England, Canada, and the United States.

- Set Dances of Ireland: Tradition and Evolution. Larry Lynch, Séanda Books, 88 Walter Street, San Francisco, California. 1989. There are 36 sets described and illustrated with clear graphics along with the text. Includes interviews, maps and commentary about the areas where each dance originated.
- CD: Set Dances of Ireland: Music for Listening & Dancing. Produced by Larry Lynch. This CD presents the music for four sets. The music is 24 tracks in all.
Larry passed away on October 29, 2021.
