Natty Kamikura received a degree in Chemistry from the Tokyo Liberal Arts College, Japan. During this time, she also studied modern dance and folk dance as club activities.

She resides in Tokyo, where she runs several folk dance groups and teaches Scottish and International dancing.

Natty has been studying Japanese folk dance for fifteen years. Every spring, the Folk Dance Federation of Nerima (a part of Tokyo) has a program in which she and her group perform Japanese folk dances for the public.

In 1988, the National Folk Dance Federation licensed her to teach dancing. That license includes the teaching of Japanese folk dance.

In August of 2002, she taught Japanese dance at the Mainewoods Camp.

One of her dance groups is organized for the employees of the National Broadcasting Office.

Natty has been a member of the Research Committee of the Tokyo Folk Dance Federation for more than ten years.
